Associate Professor Richard Wamai was honored in an article that commemorated the 40 Kenyan men who set the pace in their respective areas (Professor Wamai’s being global health) in 2018. Following this publication, he was contacted by two immigrant health organizations, one in Massachusetts and one in Texas, and in January 2019, he spoke to a group of over 300 Kenyans in Worcester on the role and career paths in public health.
