Conversation with Award-Winning Documentary Filmmaker Deann Borshay Liem

Global Asian Studies is hosting a conversation with the award-winning documentary filmmaker of First Person Plural (2000) and the new film Crossings (2022)

Deann Borshay Liem is the producer, director, and writer of the Emmy Award-nominated documentary, First Person Plural, and the award-winning films, In the Matter of Cha Jung Hee, Memory of Forgotten War (with Ramsay Liem), and Geographies of Kinship. She served as Executive Producer for Spencer Nakasako’s Kelly Loves Tony and AKA Don Bonus (for which she won an Emmy Award); On Coal River; Ishi’s Return; and Breathin’: The Eddy Zheng Story. 

The event is on Friday, October 21 at 1:30 PM ET in Renaissance Park 909
