Merger Policy with 2020 Foresight

Professor John Kwoka provided the introductory remarks at the June 4th CPI Live Conference Merger Policy With 2020 Foresight and moderated the panel Efficiencies and Entry, Remedies and Retrospecives.

CPI recently published John Kwoka’s book Controlling Mergers and Market Power: A Program for Reviving Antitrust in America. The conference highlighted major themes in Kwoka’s book, including how rising concentration and the dominance of tech giants have brought renewed attention to the role of antitrust policy. Speakers provided insight on next steps for providing sensible, enforceable, and rational proposals to address documented underlying problems, in order to strengthen competition and revitalize antitrust.

The livestream of the conference can be found here.
