The paper, Transient Poverty in a Sustainable Development Context by Madhavi Venkatesan, Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics and founder of Sustainable Practices, has been published in the International Journal of Sustainable Development & World Ecology. In this paper, Dr. Venkatesan highlights the way that transient poverty is often overlooked in policy making and suggests avenues for research in this area. She further connects the role of humans in ecological degradation in overall and transient poverty.
