Economics at Northeastern focuses on the application of economics to real world problems of public policy and business. Our faculty is led by individuals with broad experience in academia, in government service, and in other capacities that allow them to integrate economic theory, cutting-edge empirical techniques, and actual policy challenges.

Our undergraduate program has more than 600 majors and features co-op work experience together with classroom studies and undergraduate research opportunities. The co-op program is a signature feature of Northeastern, and places students in actual employment settings in their areas of interest during their undergraduate (and graduate) programs.
