Mullen, Capogna Receive 2016-17 NU Humanities Center Fellowships

Associate Professor of English Patrick Mullen and Doctoral Candidate Frank Capogna are recipients of Northeastern Humanities Center Fellowships for 2016-2017. The fellowship theme for 2016-2017 is “Inclusions and Exclusions.” Professor Mullen will be working on his second book project, Money Managers and Queer Accounts: Sexuality and the Political Economy of Narrative. In particular, he will focus on a chapter that engages the work of Mary Follett, a pioneering social worker, political philosopher, and management theorist who hailed from Quincy, Massachusetts. Frank will work on his research project, “Beyond the Frame: Modernist Ekphrasis and Museum Politics.”
