Kiang (PhD ’15) Accepts Visiting Assistant Professor Position at Stetson University

Shun Kiang (PhD ’15) has accepted the position of Visiting Assistant Professor at his alma mater, Stetson University, for the academic year of 2016-2017. In this position, Shun will teach a variety of literature courses (world anglophone literature, in particular) and first-year seminars. He will be on leave from his tenure-track position at Bunker Hill Community College to pursue this opportunity.

Shun defended his doctoral dissertation, “‘Only Connect’: Friendship, belonging, and space in the works of J. M. Barrie, E. M. Forster, and J. R. Ackerley,” in April 2015 (directed by Laura Morgan Green).  His most recent article, “Failures That Connect; or, Colonial Friendships in E. M. Forster’s A Passage to India,” will appear in ARIEL 47.3, July 2016.
