Professor Theo Davis has been awarded a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship. She’ll use the fellowship to work on a new book project titled Sensations of Freedom: Somatics and Personal Development in American Literature.

“In teaching I always have to think about the literature anew in relation to what each group of students has to say about it, and that pushes me in my own work. With this book in particular, I really see the link with what I’ve been teaching at Northeastern and how I’ve developed this project.” – Professor Theo Davis
