Nicole Aljoe Wins Visiting Professorship at the University of Bristol

Nicole Aljoe, Professor of English and Africana Studies, has been appointed Visiting Professor at the University of Bristol in the UK for the Fall 2021 semester. During this appointment, she will be completing research on the 18th- and early 19th-century literary representations of Black people in England. Professor Aljoe’s broader research focuses on 18th and early 19th-century Black Atlantic and Caribbean literature with a specialization on the slave narrative and early novels. This professorship is hosted by the Centre for Black Humanities.
