Qianqian Zhang-Wu, Assistant Professor of English and Director of Multilingual Writing, has published a full-length research article in TESOL Quarterly, one of the most respected journals in second and foreign language teaching. Her article titled “Rethinking Linguistically Responsive Instruction Through the Eyes of Chinese International Freshmen” adopts digital ethnographic methods to examine multilingual international students’ challenges, coping strategies, and interactions within the university community, pointing out concrete ways American higher education can better support their increasingly culturally, linguistically and racially diverse student populations.
