Amy Patterson, a Postdoctoral Teaching Associate with the Writing Program, was named a Writing Innovation Fellow at the 2022 Writing Innovation Symposium, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and virtually.
Patterson is one of two recipients of this award, sponsored by Bedford/St. Martin’s and meant to encourage the research and development of accessible writing education. As a Bedford/St. Martin’s Writing Innovation Fellow, Patterson will explore the use of multilingual and multimodal pedagogies for local community building and positive social impact.
The Writing Innovation Symposium is hosted by the Social Innovation Initiative and the Marquette University Libraries. The event brings together writing educators from across the country who wish to share concrete, innovative ideas about writing education, including classroom pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, programming, and related research.
