Savita Maharaj (English BA, Writing & Africana Studies minor ’22) has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Ruth E. Sullivan Memorial Scholarship by the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. This award was established to “recognize and reward undergraduate excellence in interdisciplinary studies.” The awards committee was deeply impressed by Savita’s commitment to a vision of teaching and learning as not only interdisciplinary but also, in the words of her personal statement, “multidimensional.”

Congratulations to Savita on winning this prestigious award!
