Students from Professor Neal Lerner’s Spring 2022 ENGL 1140 Intro to Research on Writing class have developed a website to showcase their research on the writing CSSH students do on co-op. The website covers the history of co-op throughout the past several decades, as well as the students’ research methods and survey results. Among other conclusions, the student research team found that most of the writing that students complete on co-op is informal, everyday communication, which is not necessarily taught through academic coursework at Northeastern. The students presented their findings at the Research, Innovation, Scholarship, and Entrepreneurship (RISE) 2022 Virtual Expo on April 14, 2022.
