Lillian-Yvonne Bertram Wins Elinor Lipman Award for Writing

Congratulations to Prof. Lillian-Yvonne Bertram for winning the first Elinor Lipman Award for Writing! Bertram’s work, “Home on the Range,” a blend of creative fiction and nonfiction was unanimously selected by a blind judging panel with the award’s namesake noting, “It’s just beautifully written, but it’s also interesting and witty, and it has a wonderful arc to it, which is always important.” Bertram will be celebrated at the Pollard Memorial Library on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.
