On this weekend’s episode of JustLove, as we commemorate the 2024 World Day of the Poor on Sunday, November 17th, Monsignor Sullivan has two compelling conversations. Kim Pozniak, Senior Director of Global Communications at Catholic Relief Services, discusses the critical issues of hunger and displacement in South Sudan, the world’s youngest country, and the efforts to bring relief to those affected.

We also speak with Dr. Sarah Riccardi-Swartz, Assistant Professor of Religion and Anthropology at Northeastern University and author of “Between Heaven and Russia: Religious Conversion and Political Apostasy in Appalachia.” She shares her experiences living in Appalachia while researching her book and offers insights into the region’s complex intersections of faith and politics.
