Lecturer in Russian

Maria Andrianova was born and raised in the city Ivanovo, in the central part of Russia. After receiving her BA in Linguistics at Ivanovo State University, she moved to the United States to pursue further studies. She earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from University of Massachusetts Boston, and joined Northeastern University in 2015. She enjoys interacting with her students in various activities outside the traditional classroom to broaden their language and culture experience. She organizes visits to local Russian restaurants and supermarkets, tea parties, movie nights and trivia games.
