NEH Grant Awarded to “Engaging Geography in the Humanities” Three-Week Summer Institute

Congratulations to Liza Weinstein, Humanities Center Advisory Board Member, Professor and Chair of Sociology; Cameron Blevins, Assistant Professor of History; and Serena Parekh, Director of the Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) Program and Associate Professor of Philosophy, for receiving over $155,000 in grant support from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) for “Engaging Geography in Humanities,” a three-week NEH Summer Institute scheduled for July 2020.

The NEH supports cutting edge research and public programs through annual grants. This year, the NEH announced $29 million in grants towards Humanities Projects Nationwide, helping to fund new and upcoming projects presented by professors and researchers. Northeastern University was among this year’s institutions to receive funding to support university faculty engagement with significant topics and texts in the humanities.
