Courses for the HHS Minor

The HHS minor is comprised of five courses and designed to draw on and complement existing majors in Bouvé and CSSH. No more than two courses, in addition to the introductory course, may be taken under the 2000-level. The minimum number of credits to complete the minor is 20.

Core Courses: INSH 1300*, at least two classes fulfilling the “Social and Structural” competencies, and at least two CSSH humanities classes from the other competencies (see below). One health-related CAMD class may be substituted for any requirement except the introductory class pending approval from the director of the minor. Any of these courses already approved by the student’s major may count toward both major and minor requirements.

* The Introductory class may be taken at any time in the sequence and will introduce students to the concept of the competencies.
