“[As an S-LTA] I hope to gain skills and knowledge related to partnership building between community partners and Northeastern students, as well as NU as an institution. I have a strong interest in pursuing S-L or service in higher education professionally in the future so I hope that [this experience] will… give me a greater understanding of the ‘why’ behind service-learning and the model that Northeastern utilizes. I hope that I can also deepen my relationship with faculty members in my major and the Center of Community Service, and gain insight into the administrative and teaching side of higher education. Finally, as with any service experience, I hope to learn from the staff, students and community partners I work with.”
