Congratulations to Community-Engaged Teaching & Research staff Dr. Becca Berkey and Chelsea Lauder on the recent publication of their report, “Utilizing Disruption as an Opportunity: A Comparative Case Study on the Impact of COVID-19 on Community Engagement Partnership Formation” in the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement. Dr. Becca Berkey has taught for Northeastern and Chelsea Lauder is a Northeastern University Alumni. This article focuses on the implications and creative possibility catalyzed by the COVID-19 pandemic and reinvigorated racial justice movement on infrastructure that seeks to build transformational community-engaged teaching and research partnerships.
