This is a final reminder that the Gender and Development Lecture Series will be bringing Ipek Ilkkaracan, Professor of Economics at Istanbul Technical University, to Northeastern to give a lecture, “The Purple Economy: A Call for a New Sustainable Economic Order Beyond the Green.” In this talk she will build on feminist scholarship on unpaid work, the care economy and gender inequalities, drawing on the linkages between caring for human beings and caring for the environment.
