Step Up is proud to present Walk A Mile, a live storytelling event series that humanizes the voices of ordinary people who have overcome difficult challenges. Our first Walk A Mile event, Reclaiming Home: Stories of Refugees and Immigrants is on November 30th at the Regent Theatre in Arlington. Join us for an inspirational evening as three refugee storytellers from Bhutan, Iraq, and Rwanda share their personal challenges and intimate stories of resilience.

Over 65 million people have been forcibly displaced across the world. 21 million of those are refugees. But who are they? With this unique event, individual stories from three refugees from BhutanIraq, and Rwanda now living in the US will shed light on the challenges they face, the choices they have to make, and their resilience to overcome a great deal of obstacles as they settle in their new homes.

Moderated by Jenna RussellBoston Globe journalist, New York Times Bestselling author, and 2017 Pulitzer Prize Finalist

Audience Q&A to follow. Engage with staff from JVS and Enroot at the event to learn about the work they do everyday to support refugees and immigrants. Join us for an inspirational evening! Spread the word!
