Prospective Students

The International Affairs major is an academically rigorous program that thoroughly prepares students for careers in all aspects of the international field. The mission of the program is to provide students with an understanding of topics that are both historical and current in order to gain perspective on the forces that shape the world around us.

Because the field of international affairs is interdisciplinary, the required course work draws from a variety of areas and departments. The program also offers opportunities to form combined majors in the fields of environmental science; human services; anthropology; economics; religious studies; languages, literatures, and cultures; and political science. You can find more information about the combined programs and general curriculum here.

When you choose Northeastern University’s College of Social Sciences and Humanities you will have a bond with faculty that lasts a lifetime. The infrastructure of support provides each student the opportunity to realize and accomplish their goals. Our team strives to empower students to seek challenges and opportunities where they can make a difference in the world. Get to know the faculty better by looking through our faculty profiles.
