International Affairs Faculty Advisors
Advising FAQs

The faculty advisors in the International Affairs Program advise and mentor students and functions as the student’s main connection with the major. Students with questions about course requirements related to the major and students who wish to transfer into the major should meet with the faculty advisor during posted walk-in office hours or make an appointment.

College of Social Sciences & Humanities Academic Advisors
The college academic advisors, located in the Center for Academic Services in 180 Renaissance Park, provide general guidance on academic matters and assist students in their progress from orientation through graduation. Students with questions about their degree audit, NU Core, transferring credits, or pursuing a double major should make an appointment to meet with the college advisor. To make appointments, please call 617-373-3980 or your advisor’s direct number, or go to 180 Renaissance Park.

Cooperative Education Coordinator
All international affairs majors are assigned a co-op coordinator within international affairs. Students pursuing a dual or combined major between two departments can choose which department’s co-op coordinator is more appropriate for their career interests. These advisors will guide students through the process of preparing for co-op, applying for jobs, and reflecting on the experience.

GEO Advisors
Students interested in going on an international study program have access to advisors in the Global Experience Office located at 403 Richards Hall.
