A Global Crisis Series Event
February 17th, 2026
5:00 – 6:15 pm
Renaissance Park, Room 909, Northeastern University

Youth-led mobilization in Asia is increasingly shaped by cross-border connections, shared repertoires, and transnational networks. This panel, part of the Center for International Affairs and World Cultures Global Crisis Series, will examine these dynamics through case studies from Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Taiwan. The discussion will focus on contested civic space, challenges to rights and the rule of law, and struggles over legitimacy, accountability, and transitional justice. Emphasizing the diffusion of tactics and narratives, digital solidarity, and the influence of diaspora and advocacy ties, the panel will also explore how international cooperation can enhance mutual understanding and support peaceful, rights-respecting pathways toward accountability and political reform.
