A discussion with Boris Ivanov, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at GPB Global Resources B.V.
Mr. Ivanov is a native of Russia, and started his career serving at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1983 to 1993. While there, he held various positions working on arms control and U.S.-Russian relations. From 1995 to 2002, he served as vice president for oil and gas projects at Unibest Bank. In 2002, he served as the first deputy director general for strategy at Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (RSK MiG), a military aircraft design company. In June 2004, he was appointed as advisor to the chairman of the management board at Gazprombank OJSC. In this position, he was responsible for developing the bank’s projects abroad. In April 2007, he was appointed director general at GPB Neftegaz Services B.V. After the company was restructured into a holding company in July 2011, he was appointed to his current position as the managing director and chief executive officer at GPB Global Resources B.V. GPB Global Resources B.V., through its subsidiaries, engages in petroleum and mineral resource projects in Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
