Graduate Research Assistant - Evaluation of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR)
The GRA will support the Senior Evaluator to implement the on-going evaluation of the NIH-funded RCMAR program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- participating in weekly partner calls
- conducting literature reviews;
- identifying validated survey scales that align with outcome metrics
- developing and deploying survey instruments;
- cleaning, coding, and analyzing survey data;
- creating data visualizations and writing reports

Project Description
RCMAR program supports behavioral and social research on aging, health disparities in older adults, and Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease–Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) through the development of research infrastructure and the mentorship of early career scientists from diverse backgrounds. This project is an evaluation of the RCMAR National Coordinating Center (NCC), and specifically focuses on the impact the NCC has on RCMAR Centers and Scientists. The NCC, with whom the evaluation team partners with closely, is responsible for: coordinating and providing logistical support to RCMAR Centers; facilitating cooperation and collaboration across RCMAR Centers; creating and maintaining an interactive RCMAR NCC website; identifying and sharing resources and materials for research and training; and providing support, technical assistance, and resources to early career investigators.
