Research Assistant - MIRA Legal Assistant Project

The research assistant on the MIRA project will assist project leads in evaluating the MIRA MACI legal assistance program. The work will include analysis of hotline call data, mapping call data to locations throughout the state, coding and analyzing intake data and assisting with stakeholder interviews.

  • Project Description

    MIRA, which administers MACI, is interested in assessing the extent to which the Initiative is successful at increasing the number and widening the geographical distribution of cases in immigrant court that receive free, high-quality legal support or representation. To this end, NU-PEL will look across the intake, referral, and placement process to investigate MACI’s reach, efficiency, outcomes, and equity through the collection and analyses of the call data, intake data, case data and interviews.

  • Qualifications Necessary

    Experience in analyzing and cleaning secondary data, using data analysis software such as SPSS or STATA, and conducting quantitative analysis. Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Hours per Week
