Research Assistant - Mobility Data for Communities (MD4C)
This position is an opportunity to work with the Boston Area Research Initiative at the intersection of cutting-edge data and community impact. The NSF-funded project, Mobility Data for Communities (MD4C), is converting cellphone-generated mobility data into measures and analyses that are relevant to public officials, practitioners, community leaders, and other data scientists. The position would entail working with mobility data and interfacing with faculty and community partners in the development of new measures and methods that satisfy the objectives of the project.

Project Description
The project is largely described in the position. The project partners include Esteban Moro at the Network Science Institute, Sandy Pentland at MIT Connection Science, and a variety of community partners, including members of the Massachusetts Association of CDCs, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and more.

Qualifications Necessary
Fluency coding in R. Experience with Python and/or GIS a plus. A commitment to scholarship designed in collaboration with community with the intent of having real-world impact.
