Summer Research Assistant - Race, Immigration, & Inequality in the Americas

SGA will conduct a variety of tasks including: project management, literature reviews, generating bibliographies, qualitative data analysis, and data processing.

  • Project Description

    This project examines the incorporation of West Indian immigrants in New York City, with a particular focus on relations between Afro- and Indo-West Indians and other racial groups. The project also examines inequalities in access to resources necessary for daily needs (e.g. food). Data has been collected. I can fund one position for 20 hours a week. Or 2 positions for 10 hours a week. Student can work remotely for most of the project.

  • Qualifications Necessary

    Ideally, PhD Candidate or Masters in Social Science. Preference for candidates with research & publication experience. Preference for candidates with research interests in race, ethnicity, immigration, and inequality.
