James W. Bucking, Esquire (MS, ’88) is a partner and chair of the Labor and Employment Law Department for the Boston law firm of Foley Hoag LLP. Since 1991, he has focused his practice in the areas of labor and employment law and litigation. Bucking is past chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Currently, he serves as management chair of the Labor and Employment Section’s NLRB Practice and Procedures Committee for the American Bar Association. He earned his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice, summa cum laude, at Northeastern University and his juris doctorate, cum laude, Order of the Coif, at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
