Professor Vicino speaks to the press about Baltimore riots
Thomas J. Vicino, associate professor of political science, public policy and urban affairs, spoke to the Washington Post about the roots of the riots in Baltimore.
“We need to reframe the problem more broadly than racial profiling and police brutality,” Vicino told the Post. “These are major issues and have been for decades, and we need to deal with them. But the bigger context is the globalization of the economy, technological change and deindustrialization.”
