Professor Timothy Hoff recently co-moderated a New England Journal of Medicine-sponsored Open Forum entitled, “Has Primary Care Been Amazon-ized?” along with several prominent physician leaders, including the president of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
This forum ran for 10 days and generated almost 12,000 unique viewings by physicians and medical students internationally. The idea for the forum came from Hoff’s new book, Next in Line: Lowered Care Expectations in the Age of Retail- and Value-Based Health, for which he was recently interviewed in a New England Journal of Medicine Journal Watch Podcast.
Hoff also wrote an op-ed for the Health Care Blog on how consolidation in health care hurts patients.
