Part-time internship opportunity

Communications Intern

Just-In Time Initiative

Boston / Virtual

The Just-in Time Initiative is an educational, healing, and legacy project dedicated to families who lost loved ones to murder. This group is formed in commemoration of Justin D.C. Cosby (21) and Kenneth K. Rackley (19) who lost their lives to gun violence. In a short time, the Initiative has reached families across the U.S., demonstrating the need for easily accessible (online) support for families. The Initiative enjoyed the support of two Policy School capstone teams, which helped the founders develop strategic and communications plans. It now is in search of a part-time intern who can help with its social media outreach efforts, in particular to organizations, schools, institutions of higher learning and other platforms and/or groups that deal with trauma, loss, murder, pain and finding peace. The intern will also post ongoing programs and help the founders contact potential guest speakers and participants for monthly meetings.

The internship is part-time (5-10 hours per week) and unpaid, but will be a good experience for anyone wanting to develop their social media and communications outreach skills in a nonprofit setting. All work is done remotely.
