The Nashua Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) seeks a Transportation Planner to join its highly-functioning multi-disciplinary team. The transportation planner will work on a variety of transportation projects and programs including long-range transportation plans, bicycle and pedestrian planning, traffic studies, data collection in the field, and provide assistance to NRPC transportation policy committees. Applicants should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable working with the public. The Transportation Planner may also assist with developing master plans and supporting land use and environmental planning related initiatives.
Qualifications: A bachelors or master’s degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline and at least four years of relevant work experience. Work experience can include relevant internships and volunteer experience. Applicants should be adept at working in a variety of software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite. Must have a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and be able to attend evening meetings. Some outdoor work may be required in areas of uneven terrain and wooded environs as well as in urban areas. Salary range $55,000 to $70,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
