Johan Arango-Quirogo attended COP16

From October 21st to November 1st, Johan Arango-Quiroga, Ph.D. candidate in the Public Policy program, joined the Biodiversity COP16 hosted in Cali, Colombia. Johan closely followed events related to environmental action led by Indigenous Peoples and local communities and institutional arrangements to ensure full and effective participation of those groups. He also participated in the Academic and Researchers group, which led him to follow the negotiations seeking to strengthen the linkages between climate change and biodiversity and participate in the drafting of the group’s closing statement.
