Moira Zellner at Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Celebration event at MOS

Prof. Moira Zellner took part in the Oct 5 Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Celebration at Boston’s Museum of Science. She was featured as one of the presenters in the “Meet a Scientist” session, designed to give people an opportunity to learn about a variety of timely topics from the professionals who are making a difference in the world through their chosen STEM fields. Prof. Zellner gave a presentation entitled “Including all voices in decision-making through collaborative modeling and planning” in which she shared how computational modeling can help us understand complex social and environmental problems and the unintended and surprising effects of our actions. She also shared the Fora.ai participatory modeling platform, an intuitive digital environment that enables diverse stakeholders to simulate complex real-world problems together and collaborate to create novel and impactful solutions.
