Dr. Patrice C Williams in School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs and Community 2 Community Impact Accelerator is looking for a quantitative data analyst interested in community-engaged research to join an interdisciplinary, international research team studying the relationship between gentrification, risk of residential displacement, and climate change.
Preferred candidates will have experience in working with large datasets, such as American Community Survey and conducting spatial analyses in R.
Tasks will include collecting and cleaning publicly available data for the greater Boston area, conducting spatial analyses and data visualizations, and engaging with the research team, which includes Spanish-speaking residents in Chelsea and Everett, MA. While candidates are not expected to have experience in community-engaged research, preferred candidates will be interested in conducting and learning about community-engaged research. Opportunities for on-the-ground research and engagement with community partners will be provided.
Delivery of quantitative/spatial analysis: June 2024
