    About the Opportunity

     

    The Senior Program Evaluator position is a new position that will support the continued development of the NU-PEL evaluation research mission. The Senior Program Evaluator will be supervised by the Program Director of NU-PEL along with NU-PEL’s interdisciplinary, multigenerational teams of students, staff, and faculty.

    Serve as the point person for NU-PEL for external Northeastern evaluation activities including but not limited to supporting the evaluation efforts for the NIA-funded Cross-Site Evaluation of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMARs).

    Responsibilities:

     

     

    • Working with NU-PEL and affiliated NU-PEL faculty to coordinate the assessment, design and implementation of evaluations
    • designing evaluation instruments (e.g., surveys, interview guides, data management protocols)
    • preparing and engaging in dissemination plan activities (e.g., presentations, reports, meetings)
    • collaborating with faculty, staff, and students, and across small and large-size teams across the university; and supervising masters and undergraduate students.
    • The Program Evaluator may also engage in evaluation development activities including crafting proposals for the development of internal evaluations.
    • Qualified candidates must have experience in, or a demonstrated commitment to, working with diverse student populations and/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environment.

     

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Required:

     

    • Master’s in public health, public policy, public administration, biostatistics, or related field or at least 3 years of evaluation experience with a Master’s degree in public health, public policy, public administration, biostatistics or a related field.
    • Experience working with complex, interdisciplinary teams.
    • Experience working with community partners or in community-engaged research
    • Experience designing and conducting evaluation research.

     

    Preferred:

     

    • This position will require comfort with both quantitative and qualitative analyses.
    • Experience working with survey design tools such as Qualtrics, NVivo (or other qualitative software), and/ or SPSS (or other statistical analysis software)
    • Commitment to evaluation research with an interdisciplinary focus and a demonstrated interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion with a passion for real-world impact.
    • Experience in working with small and large teams.
    • Experience developing evaluation proposals and securing funding to support evaluation activities.
    • Strong project management skills (e.g., time management, problem solving, adaptability, and organization).
