Prof. Maria Ivanova Delivers TEDx Talk at MIT

At the Planet Action 2024 summit held on the MIT campus on Nov 16, 2024, Policy School Director Maria Ivanova delivered a powerful and enthusiastically received TEDx talk on “The Plastic Paradox: Our Lasting Legacy.” The event brought together innovators, thought leaders, and global citizens in the quest for scalable solutions to some of the planet’s most urgent challenges. In her presentation, Prof. Ivanova spoke eloquently of our growing plastic footprint, the hazards microplastics pose to both human and planetary health, the role of art in raising awareness, and the potential of cities, companies, and campuses to lead the change that urgently needs to happen.
