Transforming 30,000+ Young Lives Through Entrepreneurial Education in India
Prof. Nishith Prakash continues to play a pivotal role in the Entrepreneurial Mindset Development Program (EMDP) now scaling across an entire Indian state of 50 million people and creating pathways for 30,000+ students to thrive in the modern economy.
The Challenge: With 23.5% of Indian youth not in education, employment, or training, and a 30% gender gap in entrepreneurship, the situation required an innovative, scalable solution.
The Solution: A low-cost program (just Rs 45.33 per student) that combines weekly classes and project-based learning to build critical entrepreneurial skills – curiosity, resilience, and risk assessment.
The Impact: ✅ Increased student agency over education and career goals ✅ Higher English and Mathematics test scores ✅ Significantly stronger outcomes for female students ✅ Girls showed greater confidence in business pitches and secured more investment ✅ Students in manufacturing hubs demonstrated increased entrepreneurial aspirations
