PhD Student Michael Becker’s Article Selected for Special Collection for Lone Wolf Terrorism

PhD student Michael Becker’s article titled “Explaining Lone Wolf Target Selection in the United States” was recently included in a special collection of research on domestic and lone wolf terrorism. Michael’s research into lone wolf terrorist attacks in the United States throughout the past 70 years indicates that differences between solitary and group-based attacks makes the subject difficult to study. He notes, however, the importance of two factors in researching lone wolves: their ideology, which ultimately leads to the target choice, and their overall relative weakness, inhibiting their effective target range.
