Juheon graduated with a PhD in Political Science at Northeastern University in 2019, specializing in Comparative Politics and International Relations. His research interests include social capital, community resilience, environmental politics, and identity politics. His dissertation, entitled Social Capital in the Face of Hazards: Participation, Preparedness, and Resilience in East Asian Societies, investigates the role of social trust, engagements, and networks in enhancing community resilience and disaster preparedness for natural and technological hazards focusing on Japan, South Korea, and Mainland China and Taiwan. Juheon has taught several undergraduate level courses, including Introduction to Comparative Politics, Introduction to International Relations, and Quantitative Techniques.
