A Process Evaluation of the Family Child Care Support Model of Shared Services

Led by: Kim Lucas

Closeup of a drawing from a preschool-aged child. It is brightly colored scribbles on white paper.

The goal of the project is to conduct a process evaluation of the family child care support model of shared services, which supports and connects family child care providers throughout the Commonwealth. This model promotes the usage of Business Training 101, Marketing Training 201, Pre- and early-licensure support, and early screening using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire through a train-the-trainer-model and is currently being implemented in three family child care systems focused on Lynn, Haverhill, Lawrence, and Lowell. By supporting a process evaluation of their work, we’ll help them to figure out how to scale and transfer this much-loved and much-used program to more parts of the state.
