Refinement and Scaling of the Digital Archive of Indigenous Language Persistence Translation Interface (DAILP TI)

Led by: Ellen Cushman

The Digital Archive of Indigenous Language Persistence (DAILP) team at Northeastern University has received generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities to facilitate the transformation of the DAILP translation interface (DAILP TI) prototype into a usable resource for Cherokee document translation and indigenous languages. Currently, the prototype is fully functional at a basic level; this grant will help advance the project to a finalized, sustainable application that can be installed and used by partner projects, and to establish a community of users who can contribute to supporting the code in the long term.
