Sacred Writes Public Scholarship on Religion, Gender and Sexuality

Led by: Elizabeth Bucar

Sacred Writes Public Scholarship on Religion is a grant-funded project hosted by the Department of Philosophy and Religion. Since 2018, Sacred Writes has been training religion scholars how to communicate their research to the public, and partnering with journalistic publications to get their important work out into the world. This new support from The Carpenter Foundation will allow Sacred Writes to offer its training program to a group of twelve scholars who focus on religion and issues of gender and sexuality. The goal is to improve public knowledge about these issues, particularly on how they connect with knowledge about religion.
