Northeastern Criminology Professor James Alan Fox and doctoral student Emma Fridel received publicity recently for their research on increasing rates of domestic violence. Despite a steady decline in the number of domestic murders since the early 1990s, there was a significant increase from 2015 to 2017. Researchers believe guns play a crucial role.
