People in this story

Congratulations to Professor Cassie McMillan on being awarded the 2022 Roger V. Gould Prize from the American Journal of Sociology!

The article, “With Friends Like These: Aggression from Amity and Equivalence”, co-authored with Bob Faris and Diana Felmlee was selected out of all papers published in AJS between January 2020 and November 2021. Their article was selected because it most closely embodies the qualities–theoretically rich, lucidly written, and empirically rigorous–that made Roger’s own work outstanding in sociology.
