Northeastern University’s Student Financial Services Office administers two forms of graduate financial aid.
1. Fellowships and assistantships — These are awarded to full-time degree candidates through the College of Social Sciences and Humanities Graduate Office, at the recommendation of the department. There is no separate application for assistantships. Students can indicate interest in an assistantship via the “Financial Assistance” section in the online admission application.
2. Federal financial aid and alternative educational loan programs — Interested applicants must complete a FAFSA form. The Graduate Student Financial Services Office oversees federal financial aid and alternative educational loan programs.
All admitted Ph.D. students receive full funding including tuition remission, stipend, and health insurance.
Questions about award and scholarship eligibility should be directed to Graduate Program Coordinator Dakotah Kennedy at firstname.lastname@example.org or 617.373.8849.
Information about tuition and fees are available on the Student Financial Services website. They are subject to revision by the University’s President and the Board of Trustees.
