A limited number of scholarships will be made available to support travel and conference fees for sustainable consumption activists and members of underrepresented groups. Those interested in applying for funding are asked to fill out the application below by Monday, March 2, 2020.
It is vitally important to include scholars from underrepresented groups such as activists, practitioners, and those coming from the Global South with limited means at a conference like SCORAI. There has been widespread acknowledgement across arenas that bringing marginalized voices into these conversations can not only advance social justice, but could lead to new insights and innovative outcomes. This conference, and SCORAI more generally, will benefit greatly from actively recruiting these voices, and finding out what possibilities lay ahead with their inclusion.
To donate to the fund for reduced conference admission for SCORAI members from underrepresented groups and the Global South please follow this link. You will make a contribution to Northeastern’s School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, at the payment page please include “SCORAI 2020” in the Special Instructions box at the bottom of the page to have 100% of your contribution used for this fund.
